Spring Wildflower walks through the forests of the Loring-Restoule area will leave you feeling that you’ve stepped into an enchanted wonderland.

Spring is a glorious time to enjoy the fresh growth of wild flowers that begin to poke through the last remnants of winter snow. Photographers love this time of year to snap shots of Ontario’s Trillium and capture birds as they flit about building nests to get ready for young.  Culinary aficionados enjoy the leeks and fiddleheads, as well as various other edible plants found in our area. Naturalists will enjoy the large variety of new shoots, buds, flowers and flora & fauna that seem to multiply in the warm spring sun.  Ponds spring forth with new life, and the cacophony of spring peepers never fails to bring a smile. Join us and take a walk in the wild to celebrate the coming of warm spring growth.

Many of our local resorts have walking trails throughout their properties that will give you an opportunity to take in the sights and sounds of the bountiful wilderness in the region.
